Applicants applying for a Canadian work permit inside Canada are not required to provide biometrics. However, candidates outside Canada need to provide their biometrics to begin the application process. Meanwhile, the validity of these biometrics is ten years. So, if previously you have given your biometrics for a study visa or any other work permit, you are not needed to provide it again if you are applying for the work permit within ten years.
