Study in Poland: List of Scholarships in Poland for International Students:

Apply for the fully-funded Poland Scholarships 2023-2024 academic session in all of the Polish Universities that offer a variety of degree courses each year.

Students who wish to study in Poland can apply for a number of scholarships supported by the Polish government and Polish universities. Universities in Poland have a number of competitive programs that are taught in English. The Polish scholarships being offered are diverse and can fully or partially cover the tuition fee.

If you manage to win a fully-funded Poland Scholarship then you will be entitled to receive all or any of the following listed academic financial benefits;

  • Fully covered education
  • Health coverage benefit
  • Residence allowance or a room in a Polish University dorm

  • Funding for buying literature
  • Funding for a monthly stipend

Fully-funded Scholarships in Poland 2023-2024

Some Poland scholarships only support students in paying their living expenses and tuition fee whereas, some Polish scholarships are partially or fixed-funded. Most of the Polish fully funded scholarships are for doctoral and post-doctoral programs.

But, for your convenience, we have put together a list of scholarships in Poland that you can apply for to fund your studies. These Poland scholarships are for undergraduate, master’s, Ph.D., and post-doctoral programs.

#1 Government of Poland Łukasiewicz Scholarships:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) Program have initiated a scholarship program for international students. This scholarship is available for their master’s program and is open to students from a number of countries. Some of the majors covered by this scholarship are engineering, arts, information technology, and social sciences.

In addition to covering the tuition fee of the awardees, this grant also pays a monthly stipend of 1700 PLN per month, 500 PLN to cover relocation charges, and 500 PLN for the dissertation expenses. Applicants must not have earned a master’s degree previously (as a double master’s is not covered) and must speak English at least at the B2 level. The scholarship is awarded to students with excellent past academic records and participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

#2 University of Warsaw Fellowship:

The faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw is offering scholarships to Ph.D. candidates. The aim is to research nanostructures, by using hyperbolic metamaterials and compressive imaging. The applicants must have sound knowledge of optics and programming. They should also have previous work or research experience in the field of optics, nanostructure engineering electromagnetic modeling, and/or similar fields. 

The faculty of physics has several departments and programs and the funding for Ph.D. varies according to each program (i.e. some departments offer higher funding than others. Please check out the university’s official website for that). Very few positions open up every year in each department, so only the most outstanding applicants will be given admission.

#3 Maria Curie-Skłodowska University Scholarship:

If you are eager to study in Poland and are looking for full financial support, you should look into Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, also known as UMCS which is offering bachelor’s and master’s scholarships to potential students. Situated in Lublin, Poland, this university is offering fully funded scholarships in programs like International Relations, Tourism Management, Graphic Arts, Business Analytics, etc.

Students from all nationalities are encouraged to apply but they will have to prove their language proficiency if their first language is not English. Students with above-average academic, sporting, social, and scientific achievements will be given this scholarship. 

The scholarship waives the full tuition fee and gives students a chance to participate and gain experience through integrative events run by student organizations. It also helps the students in developing their social and professional skills via its Career Development Programs.

#4 Ulam International Programme:

Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has announced its Ulam International Program that finances research in the field of science and technology. The scholarship finances the allowances of the beneficiaries in the amount of 10,000 PLN and also offers a conveyance allowance. An application can be made by researchers who have a Ph.D. degree in a scientific field and that degree must have been earned in a country other than Poland.

This scholarship aims to attract research talent from across the world so that the researcher can contribute to the scientific development of Poland. The scientists will be able to build their research careers by being affiliated with cutting-edge host institutions in Poland.

#5 SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities Scholarship:

SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities is calling out for applications from international students to apply in the field of English. The scholarship is being awarded in their undergraduate program of English and is given to about 10 students every year.

SWPS University is affiliated with the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology and the Institute of Psychology, Polish Academy of Sciences, and is one of the finest institutions in Poland. The B.A. in English scholarship covers the tuition fee in the first year of studies and the students will be required to prove their language proficiency if their first language is not English to show that they can perform well in the program.

#6 Gdansk University of Technology:

The Gdansk University of Technology has opened up Ph.D. positions in a number of its departments and is inviting potential applicants from all over the world. The goal is to attract excellent talent from outside of Poland. The Gdansk University of Technology is one of the oldest universities in Poland and is offering Ph.D. scholarships amounting to 2000 PLN per month. The scholarship period is four years during which students are supposed to pursue their doctoral studies in a program of interest.

The scholarship is awarded based on the student’s past academic results, research potential, and publications. The faculty is highly competitive so the students are expected to draft their applications in a way that best outlines their academic achievements.

#7 Lazarski University Scholarships:

Lazarski University Foundation is offering scholarships to those students who are dreaming to pursue their undergraduate or graduate degree in Poland but do not have enough resources to do so. This scholarship is offered to both current and future students and is aimed at local and international students. The grant money is around 20,000 PLN per year which can cover part or the whole of the tuition fee depending upon the field of study.

Local students can apply for this grant if they have always managed to maintain an average grade of 4.2 or above. It is open for all of the subject areas but the grant money can vary according to the area of study.
