#7 Warwick DAAD German Scholarship Exchange Service
The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is an organization made up of German higher education institutions and their student bodies. The German government funded the DAAD and aims to support students in Germany and abroad who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability. Founded in 1925, with the desire to encourage open dialogue between cultures and enhance academic collaborations, the DAAD has supported around two million scholars in Germany and abroad.
This year, in partnership with DAAD, The University of Warwick is pleased to offer all DAAD scholars a 20% tuition fee discount.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a German resident and be assessed as international for fee purposes.
- Be applying for a master’s taught course at the University of Warwick to begin studies in 2023.
- Have received a conditional offer and accepted this offer.
- Have applied and secured funding from DAAD
#8 Banco de la República Scholarships
The Bank of the Republic sponsors postgraduate programs in foreign universities of recognized academic excellence. Scholarships are available for postgraduate studies in Economics, Economic Law, and the Arts.

#9 Banco de Mexico FIDERH Scholarships
Eligibility: Mexican nationals
A 20% to 50% reduction on tuition fees is available for successful awardees of the Banco de México – FIDERH (Fund for Human Resources Development) Scholarship Loan.
Scholarship Details: The University of Warwick awards the following tuition fee reductions:
- 50% of the tuition fees to all FIDERH beneficiaries studying full-time Masters courses within WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group):
- 20% of the tuition fees for FIDERH beneficiaries studying on any other full-time Master’ course across the University.
- 20% of the tuition fees for FIDERH beneficiaries studying on any full-time Ph.D. at the University.

#12 British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM
This year, in partnership with the British Council, the University of Warwick is proud to announce five fully funded scholarships for female students from South Asia interested in pursuing master’s studies in climate change. Each of these British Council scholarships covers full tuition fees, monthly stipends, a return economy class ticket, and other study-related costs such as IELTS exam fee, visa application, and NHS surcharge.

#13 CAPES Scholarships
CAPES is a foundation within the Ministry of Education in Brazil whose central purpose is to coordinate efforts to improve the quality of Brazil’s faculty and staff in higher education through grant programs. CAPES is particularly concerned with the training of doctoral candidates, pre-doctoral short-term researchers, and post-doctoral Scholars.

#14 Warwick-Chevening Scholarships

Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office and partner organizations, such as the University of Warwick. The scholarships support individuals with demonstrable potential to become future leaders, decision-makers, and opinion-formers to study eligible one year taught master’s degrees at UK institutions.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for a Chevening scholarship applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
- Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after the award has ended.
- Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time they submit their application.
- Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
- Apply for three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 15th July 2024.
All applicants who wish to be considered for a partner award at Warwick are encouraged to select Warwick as their first preference in their Chevening application. Applications are open until 3rd November 2024.
#15 Warwick-CSC China Scholarships
Warwick is pleased to offer up to 25 joint-funded Ph.D. scholarships in collaboration with China Scholarships Council. Awards made for entry in Autumn 2025 will include the following:
Warwick University will cover the full payment of overseas tuition fees for the duration of the CSC funding period. China Scholarships Council will provide a maintenance stipend and return international airfare between the UK and China for successful applicants. Successful candidates will be required to return to China after completing their Ph.D.
Deadline: Applications for 2024/25 entry are now OPEN.
The deadline for submitting a scholarship application at the University of Warwick is 21 January 2024, 23.59 GMT. In order to be considered for this funding, applicants must have completed ALL of the following steps:
- Apply for admission AND obtain an unconditional offer to the University of Warwick by 21 January 2024.
- Submit a scholarship application and all supporting documents by 21 January 2024.
- Submit an application to China Scholarship Council by their deadline of 31 March 2024. (This opens on 10 March 2024).
You must obtain an unconditional offer from the University of Warwick by 21 January 2024. If you are successful in being nominated by the University of Warwick for the scholarship, you will then need to apply directly to the CSC for funding.
#16 Commonwealth Scholarships
The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission is responsible for managing the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan. A range of scholarships are available to study in the UK, at either undergraduate, Masters, or Ph.D. study.

#17 Friends of the University of Warwick Scholarships
This scholarship is funded through the generosity of Warwick alumni and friends in Singapore, through the Friends of the University of Warwick in Singapore Trust. Each year, the Trustees will award a scholarship to outstanding, academically able undergraduate students from Singapore who are financially disadvantaged.
Eligibility:
A scholarship will be offered to Singaporean nationals and Permanent Residents who can demonstrate that:
- They are the first in their family to experience international higher education;
- They are financially disadvantaged (gross family income of less than $4,000 per month, or per capita income not exceeding $1000 per month);
- They are on financial assistance at their current school or from the Ministry of Education Financial Assistance Scheme or Independent School Bursary
- Have submitted their UCAS application on or before 29th January 2024
Holding a conditional or unconditional place on a three-year degree course starting at Warwick in September 2024
#18 Fulbright Commission Scholarships Awards
The prestigious Fulbright-Warwick Scholarship is an annual award that supports one US citizen in their first year of postgraduate study in any programme at the University of Warwick. The scholarship is a maximum of £26,500 which is intended as a contribution towards tuition and living costs. To participate in the competition, prospective students must apply to the University through the normal University postgraduate admissions process and separately apply to the Fulbright Commission directly through their website. Applicants should note on their application to the Fulbright Commission that they wish to apply for a ‘Fulbright-Warwick bespoke award’.
Warwick welcomes applications from American applicants who are pursuing a Fulbright award to study here, and we are proud to have hosted Fulbright scholars in the past. #20 Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarships 2024
250 scholarships will be awarded to exceptional students who hold an offer to study at the University of Warwick for 2024 entry. These scholarship awards will include the following amounts:
- 20 x Full fee scholarships per year for the duration of the Undergraduate course
- 160 x £13,000 scholarships per year for the duration of the Undergraduate course
- 70 x £2,000 scholarships per year for the duration of Undergraduate course
