Programme Perks

  • Contract of Association: Initially for 6 months, renewable up to 3 years.
  • Allowance: Receive a monthly stipend of 3868 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
  • Travel Allowance: Financial assistance to cover your travel expenses.
  • Family Supplement: Additional support if you’re married or have children.
  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage with contributions automatically deducted from your stipend.
  • Paid Leave: Enjoy 2.5 days of leave per month to recharge and explore Switzerland.

Are You Eligible?

To be part of this incredible journey, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: You must be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • Doctoral Programme: You should be enrolled in or about to start a doctoral programme at a university.
  • Thesis Work: Your work at CERN must be part of the thesis required for your PhD.
  • Language Proficiency: You must have a good command of English or French.
