1# Government of Austria Scholarships

The Government of Austria has initiated the Austria Government Scholarship which can be availed by undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. students. The scholarship scheme is funded by the Austria Development Cooperation providing an opportunity for students to study at top Austrian universities. There are fully-funded and partial scholarships offered under the program.

The scholarships are mainly offered to students of developing countries and ADC’s priority countries. The students will be provided a monthly scholarship installment, health insurance, accommodation, and travel expenses under the scholarship.

The applicants must have completed 12 years of study for a Bachelor’s program. For a Master’s program, a Bachelor’s degree would be required whereas a Master’s degree would be required for a Ph.D. program. The applicants for the doctoral program must be below the age of 40. To apply for the scholarship, the applicants can visit the official Government of Austria Scholarships website.

2# Eiffel French Government Scholarships

The Eiffel Scholarships are offered by the French Government. They are fully-funded offerings for students willing to undertake Master’s, Ph.D., or Doctoral programs at French universities. The English Language requirements will be decided based on the requirements of the institution that you apply for. The scholarship duration is a maximum of 12 months for Master’s M1 Level, 24 months for Master’s M2 Level, and 36 months for Ph.D.

The scholarship will cover the full tuition fee, provide a monthly living allowance of €1,031, a monthly stipend of €150, one international return airfare ticket to your home, a housing allowance, and coverage for other cultural activities. The stipend increases to €1,400 for Ph.D. students. The students must be below 25 years when applying for a Master’s degree and below 30 years when applying for a Ph.D. program. The application deadline for the scholarship scheme is 7th January 2023.

3# Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship is provided by the Swiss Government. This is a fully-funded program covering all expenses of the awardees. The scholarship scheme is initiated for Masters’s and Ph.D. students with a total of 500 scholarships to be handed out. The students can apply in any study field and university under the scholarship scheme.

The Research Scholarships have a maximum duration of 12 months, Doctoral Scholarships have a maximum duration of 12 months which is prolongable to 36 months, and postdoctoral scholarships have a maximum duration of 12 months.

The Swiss European scholarships under this scheme offer a monthly stipend, full tuition fee coverage, accommodation, health insurance, housing allowance, research allowance, and a round airfare ticket. The eligibility criteria for these scholarships differ from country to country. The deadline for different countries is also different. However, the tentative date is the end of May.

4# Hungary Government Scholarships

The Hungarian Government is offering the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarships to over 5,000 students from 70 countries. The scholarships are available for Bachelor’s, Master’s, Short Course, and Ph.D. students. IELTS is not necessary for the scholarship scheme because the students can choose the universities that do not require English Language Proficiency Test results for admission.

This is a fully-funded European scholarship scheme with full tuition fee coverage for Bachelor’s, Masters’s, and Ph.D. students, a monthly stipend of 43,700 HUF/month, accommodation, health insurance, and round airfare tickets for selected students. The students can apply for the scholarship by visiting the Hungary Government Scholarship website. The application deadline for these scholarships is set for 30th December 2023.

5# Qatar Government Scholarships

The Qatar Government is offering fully-funded scholarships for international students to undertake Masters and Ph.D. programs at the National University of Qatar. The scholarship initiative doesn’t require the submission of an IELTS or other English Language Proficiency Test.

This European scholarship program will ensure exemption from the tuition fees, provide accommodation in the university, exemption from textbook charges, and offer an annual round airfare ticket. Students who have the nationality or citizenship of Qatar can’t apply for this scholarship scheme. It is only for international students.

The students must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution to be eligible for the Master’s program and a Master’s degree to be eligible for a Ph.D. program. The students can apply for the scholarship through the official website of the National University of Qatar.

6# Government of Sweden Scholarships

The Government of Sweden is offering 300 scholarships for international students to undertake Master’s programs at Swedish universities. The scholarship duration of this scheme is 1 to 2 years. There is no requirement for an English Language Proficiency Test if the university you’re applying for doesn’t require it.

This European scholarship is fully-funded offering tuition fee coverage which will be directly paid to universities, an allowance of SEK 10,000 to cover living expenses, a travel grant of SEK 15,000 for travel from and to Sweden, and insurance coverage.

The students can apply for over 600 Master’s programs taught at Swedish universities. The scholarship is only available for international students. The students must have completed 3,000 hours of full-time or part-time employment for eligibility. The students can apply for the scholarship through the website of the Swedish Government Scholarship.

7# Ireland Government Scholarships

The Irish Government has initiated the Ireland Government Scholarship program for international students offering them an opportunity to undertake Masters’s and Ph.D. programs at Irish universities. This is a fully funded program offering a stipend of €16,000 per year, tuition fees up to €5,750 per year, and research expenses of €2,250 in case of eligibility.

The scholarship is solely for international students due to which applications from Irish citizens or nationals won’t be entertained. There is no age limit for this scholarship scheme. The students applying for Master’s studies must have a Bachelor’s degree. Similarly, students applying for Ph.D. programs must have a Master’s degree. The students can apply for these scholarships through the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme website.

8# Erasmus Mundus Scholarships

The Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are funded by the European Union providing international students an opportunity to undertake Masters’s or Ph.D. studies at European universities. The Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are fully-funded offering a monthly stipend lingering between 1100-1200 Euros, tuition fee coverage, traveling allowance, airfare, and a job visa after the completion of the program.

The students are not required to provide an IELTS or other English Language Proficiency Test result if not required by the university. Students can get a chance to study at 21 public universities in Holland through this initiative. The students can study without providing English Language Proficiency Test results if they apply for the universities that do not require the test. The students can directly apply for the scholarship through the universities.

10# Turkiye Scholarships

Turkiye Scholarships are handed out by the Turkish Government to international students willing to undertake their degree programs at Turkish universities. Students aiming to enter undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs can apply for the Turkiye Scholarships. Short-term scholarships are also provided under the scholarship scheme.

The undergraduate students are given a monthly stipend of 700 TL, tuition fee coverage, return flight ticket, health insurance, accommodation, and a free one-year Turkish language program. Students undertaking postgraduate or doctorate programs are given a monthly stipend between 900 to 1,400 TL, tuition fee coverage, health insurance, accommodation, a return ticket, and a free one-year Turkish language course.

Students from all countries can apply for scholarships except in Turkey. The students are required to demonstrate 70% marks for undergraduate studies, 75% marks for postgraduate studies, and 90 % marks for health sciences. Students can apply for the scholarship through the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship portal. The application deadline for these scholarships is set for 30th November 2023.

11# Portugal Government Scholarships

The Portugal Government Scholarships are fully-funded scholarships given out by the Portuguese Government. The scholarships are only available for international students willing to undertake Master’s, bachelor’s, Ph.D., BE, and ME programs at the University of Porto. The students can apply for these Portugal Government Scholarships without an English Language Proficiency Test result if the chosen degree program at the University of Porto doesn’t require it.

12# DAAD Scholarships

The Government of Germany has announced the DAAD Scholarships for the 2023-24 session. DAAD Scholarships are fully-funded and are specifically handed out to international students. Students undertaking full-time Master’s and Ph.D. programs at German universities can apply for the DAAD Scholarships.

The German scholarships will provide full tuition fee coverage, a monthly stipend of 850 euros for graduate students and 1,200 euros for doctoral students, health, liability insurance, airfare travel allowance, rent subsidy, and monthly allowance. The students will be required to submit an IELTS or TOEFL test result when applying for the scholarship for the English language programs.

For German language courses, proficiency in the German language will be required. The students applying for the Master’s program must have a completed Bachelor’s degree and students applying for Ph.D. must have a completed Master’s degree. The application deadline for different courses varies.

13# Spain Government Scholarships

Spain Government Scholarships are funded by the Ministry of Education, Spain. These scholarships are fully-funded programs for international students. The scholarships are available for undergraduate, Master’s, and doctoral programs. The students will be required to showcase 5.0 points for Master’s studies until the 6.50 points are required. The students will get tuition fee coverage, health insurance, accommodation, monthly stipend, round airfare ticket, etc.

14# Mexico Government Scholarships
