McMaster offers fully-funded scholarships for the following level of programs:

#1 Undergraduate Program:

Different types of scholarships are offered under this program. The requirement for entrance to the undergraduate level is a proper high school degree from the school of the candidates’ native country. The average grade level should be 80% or above for entrance and should be maintained throughout the academic session at McMaster.

#2 Graduate and Doctoral Program: 

For the graduate program, different scholarships are offered but there is a list of documents required by the candidate at the time of application. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum B+ grade
  • GRE scores (optional)

  • English Language Proficiency test scores

For a Ph.D. degree, the candidate must have an academic record up to Master’s level and must submit the following documents:

McMaster University Scholarship Types:

McMaster University offers the following types of scholarships for international students:

#1 Provost Entrance Scholarship for International Students: 

The Provost Entrance Scholarship is a scholarship offered to undergraduate students at the undergraduate level. The scholarship amount offered is CAD$7,500. The type of scholarship is partial.

The minimum qualification required for this scholarship is a total of 12 years of educational record constituting of high school education from the native country.

#2 The Woo Family International Entrance Scholarship: 

The requirements for the Woo Family International Entrance Scholarship is that you must be an enrolled, international student of the undergraduate program at McMaster in any department. The amount of scholarship offered under this program is CAD$10,000 and this scholarship type is also partial like the previous one.

Ontario Graduate Scholarships: 

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program is offered by the Government of Ontario. This scholarship program is merit-based and has the requirements such as: 

  • 80% above average grade
  • IELTS/TOEFL band score
  • Application form

  • Recent research experience
