What is the McDonald Fellowship?
The McDonald Fellowship supports early career researchers, helping you work at a top research institution abroad for up to two years. It’s a chance to enhance your skills, engage in significant MS research, and build international networks.
Fellowship Benefits
You’ll receive about £30,000 annually to cover travel and living expenses, plus an extra £2,000 each year for your host institution. Are You Eligible?
To apply, you should:
- Hold a postgraduate degree (MSc, PhD, or MD) relevant to MS.
- Be a citizen from a low- or middle-income country defined by World Bank (https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519-world-bank-country-and-lending-groups).
- Currently engage in MS research or patient care, or have started a project abroad within the last six months.
How to Apply?
- Start at the Application Website: Firstly, Identify your project and field of interest (https://admin.msif2.org/awards2024/register.php).
- Coordinate with Your Host: You must identify and collaborate with a host supervisor abroad to develop your research proposal. This is a joint application, so alignment with your host is crucial.
- Complete Your Application: Fill out the online form and ensure your host submits their supporting statement (https://admin.msif2.org/awards2024/register.php).
- Secure References: Have three referees email their recommendations to [email protected] by the deadline.
- Submit Before June 30, 2024: Make sure every part of your application is submitted by June 30, 2024, including your references and host’s statement.
What Happens After Applying?
