International applicants can now apply for fully-funded Dubai Scholarships 2023-2024 to grab a chance to study for free in any of the top-ranked Dubai Universities.

UAE, the most developed Arab country, is also the home of one of the finest educational institutions in the world like United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, Khalifa University, American University of Sharjah, and University of Sharjah.

These institutions provide world-class education at a relatively smaller cost. A number of universities in the UAE are affiliated with the most prestigious universities in the USA, Canada, and Australia.

Working on a Student Visa in UAE:

Before, UAE didn’t allow its students to work part-time. They were only allowed to work on-campus or to do internships. Since 2017, the students are allowed to attain a work permit from the UAE government if they wish to do a part-time job. 

Cost of Living for a Student in UAE:

The cost of living in the UAE is pretty high, that is, the cost of living for a single person is around 5,000 AED. This cost can go up in an emirate like Dubai (as it is the most expensive emirate) and can be slightly less in an emirate like Ajman (as it is the cheapest emirate). 

English Language Proficiency:

The classes in the educational institutions in UAE are taught in English so ex-pats (who didn’t get their last degree in English) are required to prove their English language proficiency through standardized tests like IELTS and TOEFL. 

Fully-funded Scholarships in (DUBAI) UAE:

#1 Masdar Institute of Science and Technology Scholarship:

Masdar Institute of Science and Technology is offering full scholarships for its MSc and Ph.D. programs. These are offered in the field of information technology, science, and engineering. The scholarship covers the educational expenses of the students in full. The benefits include a 100% waiver of tuition fee, textbook provision, a laptop, reimbursement of the cost of taking tests like GRE and TOEFL, on-campus accommodation, health insurance, monthly stipend, and a return ticket for the home to those applicable.

#2 Emirates Aviation University Scholarships:

The scholarships at the Emirates Aviation University are open for undergraduate students who are emirates nationals. The scholarship covers the awardee’s tuition fee in full and is awarded to 10 students every year. The scholarship is pretty competitive and is awarded to those who have a previous standing of 95% or more and who show high potential in contributing towards the community and the university.

#3 Curtin University Dubai Scholarships:

Curtin University Dubai gives out scholarships to domestic and international students on the undergraduate level. The scholarship covers the partial educational expenses of the awardees. Students with a higher high school standing will be given more tuition fee waivers. The scholarship is open for the fields of engineering, mathematics, science, and IT.

#4 University of Dubai International Scholarships:

The University of Dubai is offering undergraduate scholarships to international students who are open to all the subject areas. The scholarship fund allows students to partially cover their educational expenses. The students can apply for this grant after getting enrolled in one of the undergraduate programs taught at the university.

#5 Middlesex University Dubai Grant for International Students:

Middlesex University Dubai’s scholarships for international students provide grants to international undergraduate students. Students who have applied to an undergraduate program at the university can apply for this scholarship.

The value of the award is a 20% waiver of tuition fee along with a study package for international students which is supposed to cover their accommodation, visa, and medical insurance expenses.

#6 Zayed University Merit Scholarships for International Students:

The International Merit Scholarship for Undergraduate Students at the Zayed University is offering scholarships to undergraduate international students. The value of the scholarship is a tuition fee waiver of up to 50%. The scholarship is given for the entirety of the degree program on the condition that the awardee maintains a certain level of academic achievement at Zayed University.

#7 Jumeira University Scholarships:

The Mujtamaee Scholarship of the Jumeira University is for the domestic students of UAE. The scholarship is available on the basis of merit only to UAE nationals or permanent residents. The value of the scholarship is a full waiver of the tuition fee for one academic year and is awarded to those who have 75% or more scores in their high school degree. The scholarship is only available to undergraduate students.

#8 Canadian University of Dubai International Awards:

The Canadian University of Dubai offers scholarships to domestic and international students to retain high potential students at the university. The scholarship is pretty competitive, that is, it requires a 98% or more score in the previous degree of the applicant to achieve a 100% tuition fee waiver. In order to continue getting the scholarship in the subsequent years, the candidate needs to maintain a CGPA of 3.9 or more.

If a student has a previous academic average score of 95%, he or she will get a 50% tuition fee waiver. They have to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.85 or more to keep getting the scholarship.

#9 United Arab Emirates University Scholarships:

The research scholarship for graduate students at the United Arab Emirates University is offered to Ph.D. candidates. The scholarship covers the full educational expenses of the students. The benefits include tuition fee waiver, a monthly stipend of 10,000 AED, a housing allowance of 1,500 AED per month, and medical insurance to the awardee (family not included). Along with that, the awardee gets all the support that he or she needs to carry out his or her research successfully.

The Ph.D. candidates of the UAE University need to have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in their master’s degree and in order to get an uninterrupted grant; they need to maintain a CGPA of 3.5 or more in all the semesters of their Ph.D. program.
