Google Fellowship Program 2023-2024 for International Students

Google has recently announced Ph.D. Fellowship programs for international students for the academic year 2023-2024. Google Ph.D. Fellowships directly support graduate students as they pursue their Ph.D., as well as connect them to a Google Research Mentor.

Nurturing and maintaining strong relations with the academic community is a top priority at Google. Google Ph.D. Fellowship Program was created to recognize outstanding graduate students doing exceptional and innovative research in areas relevant to computer science and related fields.

Fellowships support promising Ph.D. candidates of all backgrounds who seek to influence the future of technology. Google’s mission is to foster inclusive research communities and encourages people of diverse backgrounds to apply. We currently offer Fellowships in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, East Asia, Europe, India, the United States, and Canada.

Google fellowship application guide for North America and Europe

In the United States, Canada, and Europe, accredited Ph.D. granting institutions in Computer Science or related fields may nominate eligible students during the application period.

Google North America and Europe Ph.D. fellowship Applications for the 2024 program is open on February 1st, 2023 at 11:59:59 PM.

Google fellowship application guide for Australia, China and East Asia

In Australia, China and East Asia students must be nominated by an eligible university. Nomination instructions are sent to eligible universities and submissions must be provided directly by an official representative of the university. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Invitations for the 2023 Ph.D. Fellowship Program in China/Hong Kong/Japan/South Korea will be open for applications from February 1, 2023.

Invitations for the 2023 Ph.D. Fellowship Program in Australia will be delivered in March 2023 and awardees will be notified by June 2023.

In India and Africa, students may apply directly during the application period, which opens each February in India and each January in Africa.
