List of Ireland Scholarships in 2023

The cost of living largely depends upon the city in which you are studying. It ranges from EUR 7,000 to EUR 12,000. Studying in Ireland comes at a great cost which is often higher than most educational institutions in Europe.

For that reason, we have compiled a list of the best scholarships offered by Irish universities and the government.

1# Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarships:

The government of Ireland along with the Department of Education and Skills is giving out scholarships to international students at postgraduate levels. It will be awarded to students who are pursuing their research-based MS, Ph.D., or Direct PhDs. It is a highly competitive grant with a success rate of 18%. Several top-class Irish universities are affiliated with it. The course levels at which it is awarded are the final year of an undergraduate program or one year of a post-graduate program (master’s or Ph.D.).

The winners will get a tuition fee waiver for the scholarship year along with a stipend of 10,000 EUR per annum for the student’s living expenses. Note that this scholarship is awarded only to those students who are not citizens of EU/EEA countries and who commit to studying in Ireland for a full period of study. According to a rough estimate, about 60 scholarships will be awarded for the year 2023-24.

2# University College Cork Scholarships:

For EU students, University College Cork is giving out scholarships in collaboration with FDC Group. This award is for students who are willing to pursue an MSc in the fields of Agriculture, Management, Sustainability, and Marketing.
