About the FAO Internship Programme

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this enriching experience, make sure you fit the following criteria:
- Nationality: You must be a citizen of an FAO Member country (https://www.fao.org/legal-services/membership-of-fao).
- Educational Background: You should be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a recognized university program.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in at least one of FAO’s official languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian) is required. Knowing a second language is a plus.
- Age: You should be aged between 21 and 30 years at the start of the internship.
- Technical Skills: You need to be comfortable in an international setting, have good communication skills, and be proficient in basic computer applications.
- Legal Status: Ensure you have the right visa or residence status in the host country before the internship starts.
- Family Ties: If your immediate family (parents or siblings) works at FAO, you are not eligible for the internship.

The duration of the internship ranges from 3 to 11 months.
