Being able to study in a North American university can be quite a hassle in terms of financial backing. If you have enough finances as an international student to study in North America, well and good. But, if you don’t, you may want to look into the scholarships sponsored by the universities themselves, the government, and private organizations. Scholarships are a great way to fund your studies, partially or fully. But before we talk about the best scholarships to apply to let’s see what studying North America is like.

North America is the home to some of the best universities in the world like MIT, UCB, Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia. The students whose native language is not English have to present scores of IELTS or TOEFL (or other relevant tests) to prove their language proficiency. The international students (who are on a study visa) can only work for 20 hours a week to set off their expenses to some degree. However, they can work full-time during the holiday season. The living expenses of North America are somewhere between 10,000 USD and 12,000 USD depending upon where you live and what kind of lifestyle you adopt.
