#1 Hungarian Government Scholarship Program

The Hungarian Government in collaboration with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations provides Hungary scholarships for specific masters of science programs in Hungary. These are related to food and agriculture and are taught at reputed institutes of Hungary such as Szent István University.

The scholarship covers application and tuition fees, books and notes, subsistence costs, accommodation, and health insurance. Students of specific countries are eligible to apply. #2 Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships

These 5000 Hungarian scholarships are getting popular day by day and their applicants are increasing every year. These scholarships are based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements between different countries. Currently, there are around 70 partner countries on 5 continents. These Hungarian scholarships are available for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in specific disciplines.

The Hungarian Government Scholarships are provided to Undergrad and Postgrad degree levels and are also applicable to non-degree courses in certain areas. Students fulfilling basic eligibility criteria in these disciplines can apply for the scholarships. They are available for both full degree and partial (exchange programs).

The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships cover tuition fees, monthly stipend, accommodation contribution, and medical insurance. However, it must be borne in mind that the scholarships do not cover the full cost of living in Hungary.

#3 CEEPUS Scholarships

CEEPUS or Central European Exchange Program for University Studies provides financial support to promote mobility of students and teachers across member states in Central and South-East Europe. As Hungary is one of the member states, students can go for the CEEPUS mobility program to study in Hungary on a scholarship. However, they must be enrolled in an accredited institution in another CEEPUS member country.

Also, students must have completed at least two semesters of their program. The program is meant for students of bachelor’s, masters, and Ph.D. degrees. The duration is 3-5 months. #4 Eramus+ Program in Hungary

As the European Union’s program for education, training, youth, and sports, Erasmus+ provides students of program and partner countries to study and get trained abroad. As Hungary is one of the partner countries, the program arranges student exchanges between Hungary and other partner countries. Through the program, students from partner countries can study in Hungary for 3-12 months.

#5 Visegrad Scholarships

This is a great scholarship program for students from central and eastern Europe to study in Hungary. Under this program, which is sponsored by the Visegrad Fund, bachelor’s, master’s and post-master students having citizenship of Visegrad countries can study in different disciplines and languages in other Visegrad countries.

#6 Central European University Scholarships

Central European University provides scholarships under different programs for international students. Its Master’s Scholarship program covers 100% tuition fees, health insurance, and a monthly stipend. Apart from this, its Doctoral Scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, health insurance, and a monthly stipend. It is awarded for a duration of 36 months.

#7 Budapest Metropolitan University Excellence Scholarship Program

The Excellence Scholarship Program of Budapest Metropolitan University is meant for all international students in each study program. All bachelor’s and master’s students showing academic excellence are eligible for the scholarship. Under this program, students get a certain discount on their tuition fees through their study period provided that they continue to show outstanding academic performance and complete an internship at the administrative office of the university.
